A year before starting The GED School, Tara N. Harper volunteered as a GED teacher at a popular vocational school in Houston while already teaching medical billing and coding classes at the same school. During her time as a volunteer, she noticed the number of students who needed their GED for various reasons. It then became her mission to make sure each student’s lifestyle is understood and their learning needs are heard.

By paying attention to her students’ needs, she successfully helped them master their lessons and develop effective test-taking strategies. At the end of the day, she always finds satisfaction in helping each student gain their GED and further their education or career.
